Tutorial Ubuntu – Installing a TFTP server

Install the required packages.

Create a directory to store the TFTP files.

Set the correct directory permission.

Edit the TFTP server configuration file.

Here is the original file, before our configuration.

Here is the new file with our configuration.

Edit the configuration file named: INETD.CONF

Verify the existence of the following line.

Insert the character # at the beginning of this line to disable its configuration.

Reboot the computer.

Start the TFTP service.

Use the NETSTAT command to verify if the service is running on port 69.
