This tutorial was tested on APC UPS model SRT6KXLI also know as Smart-UPS SRT 6000.

Tutorial APC UPS – Configure SNMP
First, we need to access the APC UPS web interface.
Open your browser and enter the IP address of the APC UPS.
On the login screen, use the default username and default password.
• Default Username: apc
• Default Password: apc
After a successful login, you will be sent to the APC UPS Dashboard.
On the Web interface, access the Configuration menu and select the following option:
Configure the desired identification information an click on the Apply button.
Now, you need to enable the SNMP service on the APC UPS.
To enable the SNMP service, you need to access the following menu option:
Select the checkbox and click on the Apply button.
On the Web interface, access the Configuration menu and select the following option:
Now, you need to set the SNMP community that will be authorized to access the SNMP service.
Select the community named: PUBLIC
Set the SNMP community name.
Set the IP address of the network monitoring server, or leave the default value as 0.0.0.0
Set the type of SNMP access allowed
You have successfully enabled the APC SNMP service.
You have successfully configured the APC SNMP service.
To test your SNMP configuration, use the following commands on a computer running Ubuntu Linux.
