Tutorial HP iLO – SNMPv3
Open a browser software, enter the IP address of your iLO interface and access the administrative web interface.
On the prompt screen, enter the administrative login information.
Factory default access information:
• Username: Administrator
• Password: Available on the information label of your server
After a successful login, the administrative menu will be displayed.
Access the iLO Administration menu and select the Management option.
On the Management screen, select the Agentless management option.
• Configure your location.
• Configure your contact information
On the SNMPv3 Users screen, select the first empty user row and click on the Edit button.
On the SNMPv3 Users settings screen, configure the following settings.
• Configure an username.
• Configure an authentication protocol.
• Configure an encryption protocol.
• Configure an encryption password.
A username gohan was created and configured to use the password 123456789 for authentication and the password 987654321 to encrypt the SNMP communication.
After finishing your SNMP configuration, click on the Apply button.
You have finished the HP iLO SNMP configuration successfully.
To test your SNMPv3 configuration, use the following commands on a computer running Ubuntu Linux.
