Archer C6 AC1200 – Firewall and DOS protection
Open your browser and enter the IP address of your wireless router.
In our example, the following URL was entered in the Browser:
• http://192.168.0.1
The AC1200 web interface should be presented.
On the login screen, enter the management password.
Access the Advanced tab on the top of the screen.
Access the SYSTEM TOOLS menu and select the TRAFFIC STATISTICS option.
Make sure the Traffic statistics option is enabled.
Access the SECURITY menu and select the SETTINGS option.
On the Security settings screen, perform the following configuration:
• SPI Firewall – Yes.
• DOS Protection – Yes.
• ICMP-FLOOD Attack filtering – Middle.
• UDP-FLOOD Attack filtering – Middle.
• TCP-SYN-FLOOD Attack filtering – Middle.
• Ignore Ping packet from WAN port – Yes.
• Forbid Ping packet from LAN port – No.
Click on the Save button.
You can verify the protection levels by accessing the SYSTEM TOOLS menu and selecting the SYSTEM PARAMETERS option.
