Tutorial OTRS – Password recovery
In our example, we are using MySQL as the database service for OTRS.
First, we need to access the OTRS server as ROOT user.
Use the following commands to reset the OTRS password of the ROOT user.
In our example, we changed the ROOT user password to admin.
Tutorial OTRS – Dashboard access
Open your browser and enter the IP address of your web server plus /otrs/.
In our example, the following URL was entered in the Browser:
• http://192.168.0.10/otrs/
The OTRS web interface should be presented.
On the login screen, use the ROOT username and the new password.
• Username: root@localhost
• Password: admin
After a successful login, you will be sent to the OTRS Dashboard.
Congratulations! You successfully recovered the password of the OTRS admin user.
